My curiosity about the roots of yoga and Eastern philosophy led me to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, specifically to the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. I studied Indian mythology, philosophy, and religions, with a particular focus on yoga through the study of Sanskrit and Tamil. In 2021, I completed my doctoral studies in Religious Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, researching Iyengar Yoga and women under the supervision of Prof. Yohanan Grinshpon and Prof. Ronit Ricci. I publish academic articles in various journals and lecture at international conferences on contemporary yoga.
In 2001, I first encountered yoga and have been practicing ever since. From the very beginning, I felt the need to share my knowledge with others and became certified as a Vinyasa yoga teacher at the Wingate Institute. A year later, I traveled to India for the first time, and immediately upon my return to Israel, I began practicing Iyengar Yoga. In 2014, I was certified to teach Iyengar Yoga by the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute. Since then, I have continued to practice and teach Iyengar Yoga, and have been studying regularly with Ms. Gabi Doron since 2015, to whom I am deeply grateful. I am also a member of the Iyengar Yoga Association and the Yoga Teachers Organization in Israel. I have participated in conferences of the Yoga Teachers Organization in Israel, and in Jerusalem projects such as “Teachers Teaching Teachers,” “Jerusalem Yoga Day,” and “Yoga in the Valley.” In 2020, together with Ido Peled, I established Pranama – a school for deepening the study of Indian culture, philosophy, and spirituality.
From a young age, I was fascinated by medicinal herbs and their healing properties. I loved growing plants in my small garden, making tea from them, and infusing them in oil. In 2002, I enrolled in a medicinal herbs course with Ms. Mina Faran, who founded the Israeli Association for Medicinal Plants. During my studies, I learned about the diverse capabilities of medicinal herbs and the scientific research supporting their effectiveness. I later enrolled in Clinical Herbalism studies at Mayanot College – The Open University – which I completed in 2016. I am a member of the Clinical Herbalists Association and EILAM (the Israeli Association for Medicinal Plants).
